June 6, 2013 - Eagle Squadron at Spring Air Show at The Imperial War Museum
The Spring Air Show at The Imperial War Museum Duxford took place on the 26th May 2013 and in part celebrated the 70th anniversary of the American air forces arriving at RAF Duxford during the Second World War. In a continuation of those celebrations on the 27th May 2013 The Eagle Squadron took an aerial tour of East Anglia overflying some of the regions more significant airfields associated with the American Air Forces both past and present. One of the formation aircraft carried a very special guest to these shores a triple ace from the Second World War Colonel Clarence 'Bud' Anderson.     View Full Article

May 31, 2013 - Remembering the Mighty Eighth – Pt.7 – IWM Duxford's Eagle Squadron soars
The May Bank Holiday weekend saw the unique Eagle Squadron formation taking to the skies for the first time above IWM Duxford. The 'Squadron was the highlight of the Spring Air Show 2013 flying programme on Sunday 26 May, and continued their tribute to the US airmen who flew from the UK with a commemorative flypast over American World War Two stations on Monday 27 May. May 25, 2013 - UK to salute U.S. airmen of the 'Mighty Eighth' with historic flypast and a veteran pilot
As the U.S. prepares to remember its war dead on Memorial Day, a 91-year-old who flew missions in the Second World War will be taking to the skies again over England. Clarence E 'Bud' Anderson is taking part in a historic flypast as the UK pays tribute to the bravery of US Airmen who served there in the Second World War. Mr Anderson's return to the UK is part of the first ever display by the specially-formed Eagle Squadron of four vintage warplanes.     View Full Article

May 2013 - "THE BREMONT HORSEMEN" WWII P-51 MUSTANG AEROBATIC TEAM
Bremont is delighted to announce the arrival of 'The Bremont Horsemen' WWII display team. The Horsemen took off over a decade ago as the world's only P-51 Mustang formation aerobatic team. Since that time, the team has grown into flying other platforms in formation, including F8F Bearcats, F4U Corsairs, and F-86 Sabres, the P-38 Lightning and most recently, Spitfires.     View Full Press Release

Apr 5, 2013 - 70th Anniversary American Forces RAF Duxford
IWM Duxford commemorates the 70th anniversary of the arrival of the Americans to this fighter station during the Second World War. In April 1943, the 78th Fighter Group of the US Eighth Air Forcemoved into RAF Duxford and helped to change the course of the Second World War.
